APPLIED SCIENCES & HUMANITIES

The Department of Applied Sciences and Humanities is continuing from the date of KIT inception with a mission of imparting teaching and promoting implementation of practical aspects of Applied Sciences and Humanities to build a solid foundation as part of the Engineering Education. It prepares the students for higher studies and for industries by imparting fundamental facets of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Professional Communication and first year Engineering Subjects.

The courses taught by the teachers of this department lay the foundation of engineering sciences. Professional communication is of particular importance for improving the vocal and written skills of students. An understanding of Physics and Chemistry is essential to several engineering subjects like electronics, electrical engineering and engineering materials. Mathematics is undisputedly important in all fields of engineering.
