Students' Clubs & Societies @KIt

The college encourages the establishment of a variety of student clubs & Departmental Societies reflecting student interests and individual or group accomplishments of learning outcomes determined by the Institute. KIT runs various Cultural, Social Service and Sports Clubs for the students.

Apart from it various departmental societies have been created under the guidance and support of respective head of departments with the intention to help the students to:

  1. Grow academically, physically, socially, morally and spiritually.
  2. Keep a fine balance between academic and non academic activities like sports, cultural, co-curricular and extracurricular.
  3. Realize and groom their talents and capabilities.
  4. Participate and win in University, State, National and International level events and competitions.
  5. Develop their overall personality.
  6. Learn from well trained, qualified, experienced and caring trainers.
  7. Learn from experienced and renowned people through seminars, workshops, training sessions, guest lectures, etc
  8. Learn in a supportive environment that strengthens the development of their artistic abilities.

The events & activities of the various clubs & Departmental societies are held at convenient timings, keeping in view the convenience of both the day scholars and the hostellers.

Punishments

Depending upon the nature and gravity of the offence as established by the Anti-Ragging Committee of the institute, the possible punishments for those found guilty of ragging at the Institute level shall be any or any combination of the following:

  1. Cancellation of Admission
  2. Suspension from attending classes.
  3. Withholding/Withdrawing Scholarship/fellowship and other benefits.
  4. Debarring from appearing in any test/examination or other evaluation process.
  5. Withholding results.
  6. Debarring from representing the institute in any regional, national or international meets, tournament, youth festival, etc.
  7. Suspension/expulsion from the hostel
  8. Rustication from the Institute for period ranging from 1 to 4 semesters.
  9. Expulsion from the institute and consequent debarring from admission to any other Institute.
  10. Fine of Rs. 25,000/-
  11. Lodging of FIR
  12. Display the names and punishment awarded to perpetrators of ragging on the notice boards.
  13. Collective punishment: When the persons committing or abetting the crime of ragging are not identified, the Institute shall resort to collective punishment as a deterrent to ensure community pressure on the potential raggers.

DEPARTMENTAL SOCIETY OF COMPUTER SCIENCE & ENGINEERING Department : “CYBERSRISHTI”

“CYBERSRISHTI” is the society of Computer Science & Engineering (Patron Ms. Shubha Jain Head Of Department Computer Science & Engineering). “CYBERSRISHTI” a plethora of multidimensional skills and talents, in field of technical as well as non-technical, formed by the students of C.S.E. and I.T. department. The purpose of the society is creating and increase awareness in the field of technology. These goals are achieved by organizing workshops, seminars, social events, career conferences and special projects.

“ELECTROGLINT” society of Electronics and Communication Department . “ELECTROGLINT” encourages the establishment of a variety of student clubs reflecting student interests and individual or group accomplishments of learning outcomes determined by the University. “ELECTROGLINT” runs various Cultural, Social Service and Sports Clubs for the students.

Major Activities:

ELECTROSAGA : A workshop on "BASIC ELECTRONIC" under "ENGINEERS CLUB" of society was organized on 15 Oct 2011

QUIZMANTRA : A "TECHNICAL QUIZ" under "LITERARY CLUB" of society was organized on 22 Oct.

Formation of college first "ROBOTRIX CLUB" under the society on "5th November 2011". First workshop of "ROBOTRIX" held on 4 Feb. 2012 with an attendance of 120 students. The workshop was solicited by requested H.O.D. Mr. R.K.Pandey. Second workshop of "ROBOTRIX" CLUB held on 11 Feb. 2012 with 10 groups of 6 participants each. Enthusiastic students participated and made the event a huge success. The workshop was co-ordinated by chairperson Mr. Vaibhav Purwar.

Clubs activated under Electroglint Society : Different club has been activated under the hood of the society viz Academic club, Cultural club, Dramatics Club, Engineers club, Literary club, Musical club, Philanthropic club. Various activities have been organized & more are lined up to be organized under these clubs.

Literary events were conducted by Electroglint Society on 18-19 october 2012. Extempore & Essay writing competition was organized by the society in which students participated with enthusiasm.

The winners were given a souvenir & a certificate proclaiming their excellence.

Blood Donation Camp:

A BLOOD DONATION CAMP in association with UHM Hospital, Kanpur on 3rd march 2012. & 10th November, 2012 was organized by the Electroglint Society.

DEPARTMENTAL SOCIETY OF Mechanical Department : “YANTRIKIANS”

"YANTRIKIANS" society of Department of Mechanical Engineering (Convener Mr. A.S.Verma) decided the committee as Ayush Pandey(President) Shubham Chaturvedi & Anadi Mishra(Vice-President) & Mayank Shukla & Vineet Singh(Secretary).

The Society organized a Yantrikian week based on the concepts proposed by the society secretary Mr. Mayank Shukla from 13th-19th Feb. More than 600 Students from all the branches participated with great enthusiasm & zeal in different events that were organized during the week long sesion.
