Blood Donation Camp (27.10.21)

A great initiative of organizing a blood donation camp was taken by KIT Kanpur in association with UHM hospital (under the scheme of AICTE-spices 20-21) on 27th October 2021, Wednesday on the college campus by the Students’ Welfare cell of the college. The team from the UHM hospital of Kanpur including 2 doctors arrived at the college premises before the scheduled time and the program started exactly at 11:00 AM as earlier notified. Faculty members, students, non-teaching staff of the College, all donated blood. The donors were given refreshments to re-energize them as energy boosters. The donors were also provided with blood donating certificates by the UHM Hospital. Approximate 250 students participated in blood donation and the program went till 4:30 PM. The college cooperated greatly with the medical team. The team was very satisfied with the program by the college as it was the second time they were conducting this camp in this college and they always have had a positive view about the college. 2 Familiar individuals and a familiar environment assist first-time donors in overcoming their fear complex.
3 Participation of the community.
4 Identification of new donors.

6 Self-exclusion ensures high-quality blood.
7 Effect of demonstration.
8 Make a non-donor into a donor.
9 Assistance in donor retention.

Awareness programme on Harassment at workplace 27/11/2021

The empowerment of women is very essential to achieve sustainable development. There can be no sustainable development without the development of women. In the words of the former president of India A.P.J.Abdul Kalam, “Empowering women is a prerequisite for creating a good nation, when women are empowered, a society with stability is assured. A session on Women's Empowerment was organized at Kanpur Institute of Technology, Kanpur with the Ethics Club. This session is also a part of the “Mission Shakti” initiative by the state government.

During this session, SP Outer Ajit Singh Ji and CO Srishti Ji sensitized the girl students on women's safety. This program is filled with awareness. The girl students, teachers, and all the female staff got much important information. Speaker and Motivational Speaker Aryan Shukla was also present in this program. During this program, the women helpline number 1090, emergency helpline number dial 112 was also discussed and their use was told in detail, which number to call according to the situation.

2. Increases understanding of what is and is not appropriate behaviour.
3. Empowers onlookers by sending a strong message from the top

PROGRAMME ON PROMOTION OF WOMEN EDUCATION IN VILLAGE AREAS PLUS WOOLLEN CLOTHES DISTRIBUTION 4th December 2021

Kanpur Institute of Technology, Kanpur with Ethics Club @ KIT under the scheme of AICTE-Spices 2020-21 organized a camp regarding Women Education and Woollen Clothes Distribution on 4th December 2021 at Gram Tilshari Badokhar Khurg."

1 It aided in the facilitation of ideas exchange, mutual understanding, and the development of competencies and abilities required for societal transformation. 2 Assists needy people.
3 Greenhouse gases are reduced.
4 Improves Generosity.
5 Maintains a clutter-free environment.

HELPING HANDS: AN INITIATIVE TO HELP POOR (FOOD & CLOTHES DISTRIBUTION) 21 December 2021

The greatest way to serve God is to help the poor and following that with utmost care Kanpur Institute of Technology took the initiative to help the poor of the nearby locals by this approximately200 persons benefited. The unprivileged children and their families were suffering due to the poverty and ongoing change of climate due to increased winter. Hence, the Welfare Cell of KIT has distributed clothes and food to Salem roadside poor children. Seeing the happiness and gratification of those innocent faces feels absolutely great and peaceful. From College Dean Students’ Welfare Dr. Anshu Srivastava, HOD of B.Tech First Year Ms. Anshika Shukla, and more than forty students have been present in the program.

1 Donating to the less fortunate is a wonderful opportunity to make a difference in your area or town. Donating food to deserving individuals or groups helps to alleviate poverty and hunger while also improving community peace, friendliness, and trust.
2 Donating to the needy gives new information and reveals a different point of views about different social issues such as homelessness, hunger or poverty.

Programme on Fire safety Protocol (9th May 2022)

"Civil Defence actions are intended to address immediate emergency situations, protect the people, and restore essential services and facilities that have been destroyed or damaged by the disaster. The Ethics Club of Kanpur Institute of Technology has organised a CIVIL DEFENCE AWARENESS PROGRAMME in collaboration with DEPUTY CONTROLLER, CIVIL DEFENCE, KANPUR NAGAR on 09th May 2022 at Institution's Campus. The programme was graced by Mr. Vishnu Kr. Sharma, Assistant Deputy Controller and Mr. Sunil Singh, Assistant Deputy Controller. The programme was so enriched with life safety and security measures.

Swachhta Pakhwada (24 May 2022)

Without rivers no life form would be able to live! So rivers must be taken care of. Students of Kanpur Institute of Technology, Kanpur celebrated "SwachhtaPakhwada" under UNNAT BHARAT ABHIYAN, in which they appealed to keep river Ganga clean and also cleaned Ganga Ghat in village Najafgarh, Sarsaul Kanpur. They also realised that social responsibility is a promise everyone should make for society.

Roads Safety Sadak Suraksha Jagrookta Abhiyaan (30 May 2022)

Leave sooner, drive slower & live longer!!Ethics Club of Kanpur Institute of Technology organised a seminar on road safety under Sadak Suraksha Jagrookta Abhiyaan on May 30, 2022 in benign presence of Mr. Kamlesh Kumar Singh, Traffic Inspector, Kanpur and our students from BBA, BCA and B.Tech. participated in this session This session was on "Road Safety & Security" where students interacted with him and were made aware about the benefits of knowing the rules of road safety

Seminar on Gender Equality(1/06/22)

There should be no word like "feminism" or "machoism" in this world, only equalism. Ethics Club of Kanpur Institute of Technology organised an interactive seminar on Gender equality under scheme of AICTE- SPICES (2020-2021) on June 01, 2022 at NSH in presence of Dr. (Mrs.) Alka Dwivedi, Associate Professor, Dept. Of Hindi, J.D.G.P.G. College, Kanpur along with Keerti mishra ma'am ( Asst.Professor juhari devi girls degree College, Kanpur). Our students from BBA and B.Pharma had a thought provoking participation in the session. This session highlighted the importance of gender equality in today's scenario, where students interacted with our guest speaker and learnt new terminologies in context with gender equality . Dean students welfare Dr.Anshu Srivastava and Ms.Shweta Dubey (Dept. BBA) were present .

Amrit YogSaptaah (Yoga shivir) & International Yoga Day (14/june/2022-21/june/2022)

"Yoga doesn't just change the way we see things, it transforms the person who sees." - B.K.S. Iyengar Yoga is a great practice for both the body and the mind, it offers peace and mindfulness to its lovers and helps them get through daily stress. On the very first day of "अमृत योग सप्ताह" the Ethics Club of Kanpur Institute of Technology under the scheme of AICTE-Spices 2020-21 emphasised on the yoga practices in collaboration with ESIC. Dr. Brajesh Varshney- Director, KIT encouraged students to practice regular yoga to remain fit and improve concentration.
8th International Yoga day was celebrated by the students and the professors of Kanpur Institute of Technology on 21st June 2022 with great enthusiasm. Director Dr. Brajesh Varshney and Dean Students’ Welfare Dr. Anshu Srivastava also participated in the celebration. The function began with a brief introduction of Yoga Day by Mr. Amit Srivastava, Yoga trainer from Art of Living. Yoga Day is celebrated among the youth and children to make them understand the importance of Yoga in their life. It helps the students understand how to maintain harmony between body and mind

Quiz Competition on General Awareness (22/6/22)

The Ethics Club of KIT has organized a Quiz Competition on General Awareness on 22/6/22 (Wednesday). The Objective to organize quiz competition is to evaluate the knowledge of the participants within academics as well as beyond academics and to make them familiar with the prospects of quizzes and the objectivity of the questions.Active participation of the students was seen throughout the event. Winners of the Quiz competition are as under : Ankit yadav ( Btech ME 1st yr ) bagged the first position. Yuvraj Singh (Btech ME 1st yr) was declared second and Aviral Awasthi ( Btech EN) was at the third place . Congratulations to all the winners .DSW Dr. Anshu Srivastava ma'am , Pragati ma'am and Madhuri ma'am awarded the winners. Shweta Dubey (Dept. BBA) co-ordinated in the event.

Self Defence awareness programme (3rd to 13th August 2022)

Ethics club under the scheme of AICTE-Spices 2020-21 organises Self-defence, especially for women, is of utmost importance in the kind of the world we live in today. KIT is well known for being a responsible institute towards female students. KIT hosted a workshop on self-defence from 3rd to 13th August 2022 for all the female students to increase awareness about violence, molestation and other crimes. List of possible measures that women should take to safely steer away from danger was given to the students. They were told about tricks and techniques of self-defence through karate. They were also taught that small instances of harassment could flare up into other heinous crimes. This program was organised in association with FICCI FLO, Kanpur Chapter. The workshop was conducted by Mr Sinchit Sachan Black belt 1st Dun in Karate and gold medallist in national level.

Seminar on Ethics & Integrity at Workplace (12/09/2022)

ETHICS RULES WHILE MONEY TALKS" Kanpur Institute of Technology arranged an engaging guest lecture on "Ethics and Integrity". Guest speaker as Mr. Satyendra Kumar Singh.In the new age of Entrepreneurship 2.0 the major policies of Ethics governs the corporate sector. The workshop acknowledged our Management students with policies of Ethics and Integrity to run Businesses. Also as per the Indian Penal court every business or start-up needs to follow strict rules to run ethical business. Evolution of business today and keeping in consideration with SWOT analysis it is important that the incubation model be drawn upon the corporate ethical policies. The successful workshop was more of a practical learning experience for children connecting " campus with corporate"

Debate competition on a social issue ,Special context with Independence day on Hindi Diwas (14 September 2022)

हर भारतीय की शक्ति है हिन्दी,

With more than 19,500 languages spoken in India, Hindi is the most widely spoken! Hindi is our mother tongue as well as our National Language. On 14th September 1949, the Constituent Assembly of India adopted Hindi as our National Language. Hence, Hindi Day is celebrated every year to commemorate this day! On the ocassion of World Hindi Divas on 14th September 2022, Ethics Club of Kanpur Institute of Technology organized a Debate competition for students on "Is industrialization responsible for Global warming? ". Students actively participated in the debate and present their thoughts regarding the topic. Guest Lecture : "Be Phoenix” (15th September'2022)

On the occasion of Engineer’s Day, Kanpur Institute of Technology with Ethics Club @ KIT under the scheme of AICTE-Spices 2020-21 organized a motivational guest lecture on the topic 'Be Phoenix' for the B.Tech students, by Mr. Omkar N Srivastava, R & D Engineer in one of the FAANGM companies, on Thursday; September 15, 2022. The speaker shared his corporate experience with students and enlightened them with valuable inputs for a better preparation to get into the corporate environment. Dean - Training and Placement, Ms. Nidhi G Kapoor and Manager – Training and Placement, Mr. Mridul Bajpai were present in the event. On the behalf of entire KIT family, we thank him for devoting his precious time towards the cause. We wish him loads of success in the upcoming walks of life and look forward to a strong association in the future!

Kanpur Institute of Technology, Kanpur with Ethics Club @ KIT under the scheme of AICTE-Spices 2020-21 organized a Guest lecture of Mrs. Sukriti Bajpai on the topic of "Business Ehics: Myths & Reality" on 16th September'2022 in the presence of Mrs. Anshu Srivastava Mam (Dean Student Welfare). Mrs. Sukriti Bajpai is a PGT in Commerce.She has an experience as Sr. Business Development Executive at Brickworks, Sales Associate (Operations) IDFC AMC Limited, Head Coordinator of Marketing Club (NICHE) , Coordinator of SIP and Placement Committee at GHS-IMR. Currently she is an Academic Coordinator of Senior class at Sughar Singh Academy. In the session she focuses on to learn about the Business Ethics and values as a business owner as well as an employee. She gave an overview about the myths and reality of the business ethics prevailing in the society.She discussed the famous case studies for the better understanding of the students. She focuses mainly on the topics of: *Moral values

In this session students get to know about their moral ethics and obligations for the society as a business person or as an employee in future.
