DEPARTMENT OF APPLIED SCIENCES AND HUMANITIES
The Department of Applied Sciences and Humanities was founded with the purpose of bridging the gap between the fundamental and fundamental sciences, as well as the humanities, and engineering practises. Through its students, the department aspires to expand knowledge, improve critical thinking, develop the ability to transform information into knowledge, and strengthen the capacity of every individual to technically analyse the things that are around them in a society that is constantly shifting. The department is a crucial component of a thriving and dynamic institute that supports and fully supports the faculty members as they nurture engineering students throughout their academic careers. Applied science courses are taught at the department to engineering students in all areas, which is a crucial function of the department in an engineering college. Our Laboratories have been very effectively built to cover the entire syllabus and to motivate students to go beyond the syllabus. This unquestionably develops complete knowledge of the subject (both the practical and theoretical depth of knowledge) and skill sets of students, which positions them to become promising engineers in the future. The department’s defining characteristic is its English Language Lab and Soft Skills programme, which emphasises the four English language skills—listening, speaking, writing, and reading—along with personality development courses. Our primary goal is to produce engineers who have a solid understanding of the challenges that engineers face in the real world and who are armed with the most cutting-edge tools available in applied science today. The Department of Applied Science and Humanities includes and serves as the foundation for learning the languages of math, physics, chemistry, and english. The members of the teaching staff adhere to a high standard of instruction and make a concerted effort to involve students in the learning process.
Vision of the department
To educate and inspire students to learn and use the fundamentals of applied sciences in engineering and technology by developing their analytical skills with the foundational knowledge of the humanities and management sciences.
Mission of the Department
M1: To play a pivotal role in laying the foundations of engineering education by building the professional strengths of the students in basic sciences and engineering disciplines and strengthening the foundation of aspiring engineers.
M2: To provide a better learning environment for the students, prepare them on par with the global technical workforce, and build confidence, character, and human values.
M3: To upgrade the quality of technical education and produce dynamic engineers and entrepreneurs for the country.
