DEPARTMENT MASTER OF COMPUTER APPLICATION (MCA)
Master of Computer Applications (MCA) is a two year professional post-graduate programme for candidates wanting to delve deeper into the world of computer application development with the help of learning modern programming language. The programme is a blend of both theoretical and practical knowledge. An MCA degree endows students’ an opportunity to work with tools meant to develop better and faster applications. The degree helps interested students in setting up a sound academic base for an advanced career in Computer Applications.

Vision
To promote professionals with knowledge and understanding, by providing with latestTechnology in Computer Applications so that they contribute not only in the progress ofsoftware and its applications but even beset the entire domain of computer technology.
Mission
M1: To impart value-based, quality education that provides design, development as softwareapplications in their entirety.
M2: To promote research-based activities through analysis and interpretation of data and synthesis of the information for utilization in resolving practical problems relating to computer applications.
M3: To make students eligible professionals for the requirement of the industry.
Program Outcomes (PO)
PO-1: Computational Knowledge – Apply knowledge of computing, Mathematics, Principles of Accounting, Management and Fundamentals of Software Engineering appropriate to the discipline.
PO-2: Problem Analysis – Identify and analyze problems and formulate the requirements appropriate to its solution.
PO-3. Design Development of Solutions – Design, implement and evaluate a computer based system to meet the desired needs.
PO-4. Conduct Investigations of Complex Computing Problems – Conduct investigations and experiments to analyze and interpret data of complex applications to find valid solutions.
PO-5. Modern Tool Usage – Select and apply current trends, techniques and modern tools that suit the computing requirements like UML diagrams.

MessageThe aim of the department is to provide meaningful education of the highest standard and to provide leadership in technological innovation. The department well equipped with state of art labs to train students to advance their theoretical as well as practical knowledge. Well lit and air conditioned classrooms and lecture theatres have seating capacity of sixty students each. The ceiling mounted projector with foldable screen provides enhanced and quick learning. Additional availability of conference room and seminar hall helps organize guest lecturers with latest audio and video technology. We are looking forward to developing in each of our faculty, staff and student, the ability and passion to work wisely and creatively for the betterment of students. |

Computer Applications is one of the thrust area in science and technology. The department provides specialized research in inventing new data base design and guides students in building efficient information systems. The curriculum reflects the depth and width of Computer Application where emphasis is laid on practical understanding of technology The Students after completing the course enjoy flourishing career in computer systems, information systems, and software industries like, Infosys, TCS, Wipro, MBT, I-Flex, Cognizant, L & T, Patni Computers.
Eligibility For Admission
Passed 10 + 2 or equivalent examination with minimum 45% marks in aggregate with mathematics as compulsory subject in 10+2. (40% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category).
