The objectives of this cell is to encourage proficiency and skill development of students by conducting approved training programs in different sectors and providing appreciation and certification on successful completion.

Placements and Corporate Relations Cell (PCRC)
PCRC is entrusted with highly crucial task of selecting, inviting and following up with several corporates with whom KIT, Kanpur explores 100% placements of its students. It is one of facilitating units of KIT Kanpur, which engages with Industry and constantly stives for expanding the industry-academia interface. In providing professional courses of the Institute, It is the dream of every student to get a job offer through campus placements while still being in the institute’s prestige in the contemporary society. It insists the enthusiasm of students and gives every opportunity to explore in all aspects. PCRC at KIT, Kanpur is committed to get more and more recruiting companies on-board and it is heartening to note that each year we have been doing better than the previous one. In addition to, as the PCRC keeps abreast with the needs of the job market during its interaction with the industries. On Campus training
Training Cell arranges On-Campus Training for the all KIT students at college campus. These Trainings are totally based on the courses, which gives practical knowledge to the students. The cell organized many types of trainings for the students, which are helpful to make them better prepared for their future career and also in placement in reputed industry. The cell organized many courses like Autodesk Online Course, Autodesk Inventor, C-Language, C++, Java, J2EE, .Net, Embedded Systems, Robotics Lab, some workshops like IBM workshop, HCL workshop, HP Workshop and many more. On Campus Training alliance with Hewlett – Packard Education Service, HCL Info Systems Ltd. (HCL K2 Academy), I_CAD/CAM, CADD Centre, MITBOTS.
Off Campus Traning
Training Cell arranges Off-Campus Training in summer and winter vacations to all the KIT Students for all discipline nearest to their home. In Off-Campus Training in cell provides short term courses based on their course. In off campus training students learn many courses like JAVA, J2EE, ProE, .Net, Data Structure, Automation, Embedded System, C++, SCADA, PLC, Aptitude classes and many more.

MOU Between KIT & HP
Industrial Visits are really an important initiative by the Institute for its students to make them compatible to meet global standards. Kanpur Institute of Technology gives them an opportunity to visit various field units of Industries throughout the country so that Students get the actual scenario of the current technology. Visits help them not only in the technical training but also give an atmosphere to work upon it as per the requirements of the industries.
The aim of Industrial Visits:
1 : Seeing industry experts working on real-time projects actually inspire the students and motivate them in their career.
2 : They hold great dreams and always aspire to become expert of their field, and by interacting with the current professionals through industrial visit encourages them and give more hopes.
3 : Not all colleges provide co-op programs. So, an educational trip is the only hope for students that can introduce them to the industry.
4 : Industry visit gives an active learning environment outside the classrooms.
KIT has organized various industrial tours for the students of CS/IT (2nd year and 3rd year) at SEBIZ, Chandigarh and at A.N.G Life Sciences, Baddi in SEP 2017. The Institute also conducted a very important tour of HAVELLS PVT LTD, BADDI in OCT 2016 and BHEL, Haridwar for the students of EC as well as another tour was organized for the students of ME (2nd year and 3rd year) at HMT Tractors, Chandigarh in SEP 2016. The Institute showed its concern for B.Pharm students and organized the tour at Brooks Laboratories Ltd, Chandigarh in Feb 2015. Over all the Institute is mainly focusing on technical training with practicality and making its students to explore newly updated technologies with its industrial tours.
Workshops & Seminars may introduce a new idea, inspire participants to further explore it on their own, or may illustrate and promote actual process practice.
